In order of importance:
1. Getting married
2. Everyone having a good time
3. Great photographs
4. Everything else
That said, be careful you have the right fit for your wedding photographer. Do your expectations require truly outstanding, timely, interesting documentation, or are you simply looking for someone to take the mandatory posed group shots?
I'm constantly striving to get great images that can stand by themselves, that may end up in a book or gallery, images that have the right elements of timing and human interest--unusual, humorous or ironic.
