Description
Mt. Rainier (I prefer its real name, Mt. Tahoma) towers over the entire region, 14,000 feet of rock and glacier and snowfields and lakes and wildflowers. Everyone in its path treats this enormous volcanic projectile with great respect, now that we've seen what can happen when a smaller mountain like St. Helens blows its top.
Let's hope she lies dormant for another thousand years.
35mm color transparency, 1990.
