Description
I love the strangeness of this image: what is that man doing? Why is the motorcycle the only other sign of life? Where is everyone else? Maybe this was siesta time. B/w or sepia, 1976.
The church is the great cathedral, Notre Dame de Laon, in Picardy, near Reims, France. It was built between ca. 1160 and 1220, and is the flagship church of the Northern School of Early Gothic.
